Why you should travel with mahjong

I brought my new Hydrangea Bliss and Pink Winds travel mats with me to the Netherlands, and they were one of those things that felt like a “maybe I’ll use this” when I packed, but quickly became a so glad I brought this situation. They’re lightweight, they fold up easily, and they don’t take up much space at all. No overthinking, no extra bulk. Just toss it in and go.

I paired them with the Miss Darling travel tiles by Miss Mahjong, which were so lightweight I kept them in my crossbody bag the entire time and forgot they were there. The setup was so beautiful that I truly didn’t feel like I was sacrificing my full-size setup from home. Everything was still the same quality and beauty, just portable!

And playing mahjong “in the wild”? Highly recommend.

It also slows you down in the best way. Travel can feel go-go-go, and this gave us a reason to pause, sit, and actually enjoy where we were. A few rounds of mahjong with a beautiful view? Yes, every time.

If you’re even thinking about bringing mahjong on a trip, this is your sign. It’s easy, it’s fun, and it makes the whole experience feel a little more special.

I already know I’ll be packing mine again.
